No Surprises Act — for patients not utilizing insurance billing with MCS:
In accordance with federal law, Monarch Counseling Services will provide self-pay clients with a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) as part of the initial paperwork. We will discuss the GFE with you and give you time to ask any questions. Per the law:
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. If you receive a bill from us that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
